Its feature set includes support for Ethernet Services, L2VPN, IPv4, IPv6, and L3VPN, Layer 2 and Layer 3 multicast, IPoDWDM, SyncE, EOAM, MPLS OAM, Layer 2 and Layer 3 ACLs, HQoS, MPLS TE-FRR, MC-LAG, IRB, and Cisco NSF and NSR.
The Cisco ASR 9001 Router (Figure 1), part of the Cisco ASR 9000 Series, is a compact Provider Edge (PE) router offering 120 Gbps of nonblocking capacity in a Two-Rack-Unit (2RU) form factor. It shares the same Cisco IOS® XR software image as other ASR 9000 Series routers, ensuring consistency across platforms. Equipped with an Integrated Route Switch Processor (RSP) and two modular bays, it supports 1 GE, 10 GE, and 40 GE Modular Port Adapters (MPAs). The base chassis features four integrated 10 GE Enhanced Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP+) ports, a GPS input for stratum-1 clocking, Building Integrated Timing Supply (BITS) ports, and management ports. see Cisco ASR ASR 9001-2
