Cisco Catalyst 3850 Overview:

Stackable Catalyst 3850 Series multigigabit and 10-Gbps network switches provide a seamless integration of wired and wireless connectivity, offering scalability and safeguarding your investments. This integration is facilitated by the robustness of the new, 480 Gbps Cisco StackWise and Cisco StackPower technologies.

The Cisco Catalyst 3850 Series Switch family offers over 30 models, including variants with LAN Base, IP Base, and IP Services software. Additionally, there are MultiGigabit and 10G SFP+ options available.

To utilize a Cisco Catalyst 3850 Series Switch as a wireless controller, customers must acquire either the IP Base or IP Services software model.

For LAN Base models, the StackPower functionality requires a separate purchase of a StackPower cable.
