The Cisco Nexus 9300 platform switches are designed for high-density, nonblocking, and energy-efficient performance, tailored for deployment in top-of-rack (ToR), middle-of-row (MoR), and end-of-row (EoR) setups within enterprise data centers, service provider facilities, and large virtualized and cloud computing environments.

Featuring industry-leading density and performance, the platform offers flexible port configurations that accommodate both copper and fiber cabling, as outlined in Tables 2 and 3. With support for 1/10GBASE-T, these switches enable the delivery of 10 Gigabit Ethernet over existing copper cabling, facilitating a cost-effective upgrade path from Cisco Catalyst® 6500 Series Switches, especially in MoR or EoR configurations.
